COVID-19 UPDATE

As with many other activities in life, your dental appointment experience will look a little different while COVID-19 remains a threat. In compliance with new regulations, and for the safety of our patients and staff, we have implemented new guidelines and protocols.

For patients with upcoming appointments, we request that you get in touch with us before your appointment in order to review new check-in procedures and conduct a COVID-19 questionnaire.

If, at any time before your appointment, you notice any symptoms or other illness, we recommend that you contact your primary care physician and reschedule your dental appointment for a later date.

Illness may include:

  • a cold or flu
  • active tuberculosis
  • measles, mumps, or chickenpox
  • any other contagious disease

Symptoms of COVID-19 may include:

  • fever or chills
  • sore throat, coughing, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • severe fatigue, headache, or body ache
  • new loss of taste or smell
  • congestion or runny nose
  • nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea

Finally, if you or someone you are in close contact with has recently visited an area with large outbreaks, or if you have been exposed to someone who was diagnosed with or suspected of having COVID-19, please notify our staff prior to your appointment.

Our updated COVID-19 protocols are as follows:

  1. We will conduct prescreening for all patients as well as any parents or guardians who will accompany the patient prior to scheduling your appointment.
  2. We will conduct a COVID-19 questionnaire at the time of scheduling or confirming your appointment.
  3. After checking in with the receptionist, we request that patients wait for their appointment in their personal vehicles or outside the clinic. Our staff will notify you when your dental care team is ready to see you.
  4. Masks are required of all patients and any parents or guardians who accompany them when entering the dental office.
  5. Our waiting area is currently closed. We request that all patients contact us prior to coming to the clinic in order to minimize crowding outside the clinic.
  6. We will take temperatures for all patients prior to administering dental services.

For the safety and protection of all patients and staff, we respectfully request that you adhere to all of the guidelines outlined above. Your health and well-being is of utmost importance to us. We will continue to monitor the situation and update our protocols as required to keep you and our staff safe and protected.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our dental clinic at (714) 375-3222.
